Empowering Single Refugee Mothers through Micro-loans

Project Description:
The Germaine initiative aims to support single refugee mothers in becoming financially independent through the provision of micro-loans. This initiative will help them establish their own small businesses or invest in their existing ones to generate income and become self-sufficient.















Objectives:
1. To provide micro-loans to single refugee mothers to start or grow their own small businesses
2. To empower single refugee mothers to become financially independent
3. To increase the economic participation of single refugee mothers
4. To contribute to the economic growth of the community by supporting the development of small businesses


Activities:
1. Identification of eligible single refugee mothers: The project team will identify and select eligible single refugee mothers who have a viable business idea or an existing business that requires funding.

2. Training and capacity building: The selected single refugee mothers will receive training on entrepreneurship, financial management, and business planning to help them develop and implement a sustainable business plan.

3. Micro-loan disbursement: After the training, the project team will disburse micro-loans to the selected single refugee mothers to start or grow their businesses.


4. Monitoring and evaluation: The project team will monitor the progress of the businesses and provide support to the single refugee mothers where necessary. The project team will also evaluate the impact of the micro-loans on the economic status of the single refugee mothers.















Expected outcomes:
1. Increased economic participation of single refugee mothers
2. Improved livelihoods of single refugee mothers and their families
3. Increased economic growth of the community through the development of small businesses
4. Improved self-esteem and empowerment of single refugee mothers
